HOW DO WE OPERATE?

FOTHI is a co-operative, self help, acquired brain injury survivor support group founded and operated by the survivors.

FOTHI utilizes the: “JUST FOR TODAY PROGRAM” and the “WEEKLY REMINDER PROGRAM” as well as”THE BUDDY SYSTEM”.

FOTHI’s purpose is to enable all abis ( acquired brain injured survivors) to become as involved as they want to be with others.

FOTHI offers a recreational/leisure setting in a safe, secure environment. At FOTHI we have the opportunity to: build self-esteem, be supported emotionally, develop social skills, and associate with others who are in similar circumstances.

ALL of this takes place in a non-judgmental and positive atmosphere.

-Members become more outgoing

Feel a sense of purpose

Through social, leisure and recreational activities, the program encourages personal growth, independence, feelings of self worth, confidence, happiness and HOPE.
